Rejectors and Acceptors

While many hear the gospel, only a few truly receive it through enduring faith. Genuine faith is not measured by initial enthusiasm, but by perseverance in obedience and spiritual growth over time. Jesus illustrates that outward receptivity—such as joy, curiosity, or temporary commitment—can mask a heart unprepared by God’s grace. True believers are marked by a heart that retains the Word and produces lasting fruit. Ultimately, we are to examine our own lives. Only those who persist in following Christ, despite trials and temptations, are truly part of God’s family.
