What is the purpose of church ministries and the leaders who lead them? According to Ephesians 4:12 the purpose is "to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up." Our Sunday preaching ministry is an essential part of training God's people to do works of service. But we all need more than one hour a week of equipping to really be ready to serve God in a way that builds up the body of Christ.

Our Midweek Ministry for adults is designed to equip you to serve the Lord. We do this primarily thorugh a system of classes that provide adults at New Arbor with all the resources they need to grow in their knowledge of and obedience to Christ and the Christian life. Our Goals in New Arbor Classes are:

1. To provide through our local church the kind of systematic instruction usually available only in a Christian college.
2. To stop the spread of Biblical ignorance among Christians.
3. To provide our community, which is rich with secular learning environments, with a place where  Christians can learn about their faith in a way that is both accessible to everyone and challenging to those who are well-educated.
4. To develop the teaching gifts of godly, gifted adults in our church and give them many opportunities to use their gifts and abilities to build up our church by teaching other Christian adults.
